Ms. Upasana Shil is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML) at Dayananda Sagar University, Bangalore. She holds an M.Tech degree from the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Agartala. During her postgraduate studies, she worked extensively on the fusion of hybrid transform domains and encryption techniques for imperceptible and secure medical image watermarking — a critical area aimed at strengthening data privacy in healthcare systems.
She is skilled in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and is proficient in Data Structures and Algorithms. Her technical expertise also extends to Cryptography, Steganography, Watermarking, and the core principles of Cyber Security. Upasana’s research interests include Cyber Security, Medical Image Watermarking, and Deepfake detection, reflecting her commitment to solving real-world digital security challenges. Along with strong analytical thinking, she brings excellent communication skills to her academic and collaborative environments. With a balanced blend of technical depth and teaching ability, she aims to contribute meaningfully to both research and education in the evolving field of information security.
