Dr. Bondu Venkateswarlu

Professor

Dr. Bondu Venkateswarlu is currently working as a Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, School of Engineering, DSU. He obtained his Ph.D. from Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, and an M.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering. Dr. Bondu has over 24 years of teaching experience in reputed institutions. His research interests include Data Mining, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Big Data Analytics, Image Processing, and Software Engineering. He has published more than 50 research papers in WoS/ESCI/Scopus- indexed journals and conferences. He has successfully guided four Ph.D. scholars, and one scholar is currently pursuing research under his supervision.

In 2024, he received the Best Research Supervisor Award from BITES, Bangalore, for his work on leveraging machine learning techniques to improve healthcare opportunities in India. He is also recognized as an IBM-certified trainer in Data Mining & Data Warehousing and Introduction to Business Analytics. He has participated in numerous Faculty Development Programs, workshops, and seminars conducted by leading MNCs and academic institutions. He serves as a reviewer for international journals and as a technical committee member and session chair for many international conferences.

Dr. Bondu has also held various administrative positions, including Head of Department, Coordinator, and member of several academic committees. He is a life member of professional bodies such as the Computer Society of India (CSI) and the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), where he actively contributes to the advancement of his field and fosters collaboration among peers.
