Mr. Verriboina Antony
Assistant Professor
Mr. Verriboina Antony is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML) at the School of Engineering, Dayananda Sagar University, Bengaluru. He holds a Master of Technology (M.Tech.) in Information Technology from the Indian Institute of Information Technology Allahabad (IIIT-A), Prayagraj, India and a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Information Technology from R.V.R & J.C College of Engineering, Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, India.
During his postgraduate studies at IIIT-Allahabad, Mr. Antony was actively involved in a state-sponsored research project titled “Road Object Detection During Rainy/Foggy Nights for Autonomous Vehicles,” funded by the Council of Science and Technology, Uttar Pradesh. His research focused on designing deep learning models for enhancing object detection under adverse weather conditions using image deraining and dehazing techniques. He worked with Transformer-based and lightweight multi-scale neural networks optimized for edge deployment in real-time systems.
Mr. Antony has publications in various international conferences such as ICPR, TENCON, and ICONIP, and was part of the organizing team for the CVMI conference held at IIIT-Allahabad. During his postgraduate studies, he also served as a Teaching Assistant (TA), where he supported undergraduate courses and academic activities under faculty supervision. His academic and research interests include computer vision, image restoration, transformer-based deep learning architectures, object detection, and efficient deployment of AI models on edge hardware
