Assistant Professor

Mr. Vivek Gupta is an Assistant Professor in the Department of CSE (Artificial Intelligence and Data Science) at Dayananda Sagar University, Bengaluru. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from Shubham University, Bhopal. He holds an M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering and an MBA from Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow, where he graduated with distinction and secured top academic ranks. Prior to joining Dayananda Sagar University, he served as an Assistant Professor at Jain University and Parul University, contributing to teaching, curriculum development, student mentoring, and academic administration.

He has extensive experience in delivering courses related to Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Business Analytics, and emerging technologies. His research interests include Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs), Explainable AI (XAI), Data Analytics, Cyber Security, and Software Engineering. His ongoing research focuses on software testability, intelligent systems, and AI-driven decision support. He has published research papers in reputed international conferences, including IEEE conferences, and has contributed to academic books in the areas of Big Data Analytics and Predictive Modelling.

He is the holder of an Indian Design Patent titled “Smart Key Holder” and has received multiple academic excellence awards and scholarships for outstanding academic performance. He actively guides student projects, promotes research-oriented learning, and is committed to fostering innovation, critical thinking, and industry-ready skills among future engineers and data scientists. His professional mission is to bridge the gap between academia and industry through impactful research, interdisciplinary collaboration, and technology-driven education.
