It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the Department of Computer Science and Medical Engineering (CSME) at Dayananda Sagar University.
The CSME program is a bold step toward addressing some of the most meaningful challenges of our time—improving healthcare through the power of engineering and technology. Our vision is simple yet profound: to nurture professionals who are not only skilled in computing and engineering but also deeply aware of the needs and sensitivities of the medical world.
This program has been carefully designed to bridge the traditional divide between doctors and engineers. It opens up opportunities for students to work on impactful healthcare solutions, from designing wearable health monitors to developing medical software or contributing to new diagnostic tools. Through real-world exposure, hands-on projects, and strong industry and hospital partnerships, our students learn to apply their knowledge in ways that truly matter to society.
