"Annual Day-2024"
The College of Nursing Sciences at Dayananda Sagar University celebrated its Annual Day with great enthusiasm on July 13, 2024. The event began with the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp by distinguished guests. Dr. Sanjay M. Peerapur, Principal of KLES Institute of Nursing Sciences, Hubli, graced the occasion as the chief guest and delivered an inspiring speech, highlighting the importance of holistic education and motivating students to pursue their dreams with dedication and hard work. Dr. Santham Sweet Rose, Principal of the College of Nursing Sciences, presented the Annual Report, while Dr. Pushpa Sarkar, Dean of the School of Health Sciences, addressed the gathering and congratulated all the prize winners. The award ceremony was one of the event’s highlights, honoring students for their achievements in academics, sports, and cultural activities. The day also featured vibrant performances by the students, adding to the celebratory atmosphere.
"Career Counseling Workshop"
The College of Nursing Sciences in association with Medivaah group organized “Workshop on Career Counseling” for B.Sc. Nursing IV year & M.Sc. Nursing II year students on 25.07.23 at F Block Auditorium, CDSIMER at 10 am. The Medivaah group volunteers helped the students to make individual resume and also helped with profile creating activities on Medivaah and uploading introductory videos on the app.

"Awareness Programme on Disaster Preparedness "
The College of Nursing Science, Dayananda Sagar University, organized two impactful events under the National Service Scheme. On 20/11/2024, a Disaster Preparedness Mock Drill was conducted by the Karnataka Government Disaster Task Force, inaugurated by Dr. Pushpa Sarkar, Dean, SHS, DSU. SDRF (State Disaster Response Force) officers Mr. Hanumanth, DFO and Mr. Sunil, trainer provided comprehensive theoretical and practical training on handling natural and man-made disasters. On 27/11/2024, as a part of Mock Drill special emphasis was made on Fire Safety by Mr. Manjunath and his team from Kanakapura Fire Station. Live demonstrations of fire extinguishers and hosepipes enhanced the participation of 450 students from Nursing, Pharmacy, and Physiotherapy programs.
"Workshop on Emergency Nursing and Life Support"
The College of Nursing Sciences, DSU in association with JeevaRaksha- RGUHS organized Workshop on Emergency Nursing and Life Support for B.Sc. Nursing final year students and faculty from 18/07/2023 to 20/07/23 for 3 days at Seminar Hall, KS layout campus, Dayananda Sagar University. The participants were given scenarios to practice on trauma management and communication skills by using ISBAR, CUS, SPIKES techniques. Practical Examinations was conducted on Air way management & Cardiac emergencies for all the participants.

"International Conference on "Advancing Research Methodologies: Innovations, Challenges, and Future Directions"
The College of Nursing Sciences, DSU, organized an International Conference on "Advancing Research Methodologies: Innovations, Challenges, and Future Directions" over two days, 26th and 27th July 2024. Shri. Galiswamy Sir, Secretary of the Mahatma Gandhi Vidyapeet Trust, was the Guest of Honor for the conference, which was presided over by Dr. Pushpa Sarkar, Dean of SHS. The conference featured a distinguished panel of resource persons Dr. Vishnu Renjith, Lecturer & Programme Director, School of Nursing and Midwifery, Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI), Dr. Mamatha S Pai, Professor, Department of Child Health Nursing, Dr. Shalini G Nayak, Assistant Professor, Department of Medical-Surgical Nursing, Mr. Anil Raj A, Assistant Professor, Department of Medical-Surgical Nursing, Manipal College of Nursing, MAHE, Manipal, Dr. Shejila C H, Professor, Department of Medical-Surgical Nursing, Dr. Santham Sweet Rose, Professor and Principal, CONS, DSU, Dr. Latha T, Associate Professor, College of Nursing, AIIMS Kalyani, West Bengal, Dr. Ramesh C, Associate Professor, Department of Medical-Surgical Nursing, SRIHER, Chennai, Dr. Leena KC, Professor and Principal, College of Nursing, Yenepoya Deemed to be University, Mangalore, Dr. Vani Lakshmi R, Assistant Professor, Department of Data Science, Prasanna School of Public Health MAHE, Manipal, Dr. Darshan B B, Assistant Professor, Department of Community Medicine, Government Medical College, Chamarajanagar, Dr. Judie Arulappan, Associate Professor & Director of Nursing, Laboratory and Simulation Unit, College of Nursing, Sultan Qaboos University, Oman. The Karnataka State Nursing Council awarded 8 credit points for the conference, and Mrs. Nicola Sharon Ambrose, Principal of Manjushree College of Nursing, was appointed as an observer by the KSNC. Awards were given for the best papers and posters, and the conference saw around 810 participants from Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, and West Bengal, marking it as a grand success.
"International Nurses Day Celebration-2024"
The College of Nursing Sciences, DSU celebrated International Nurses Day on 21st May 2024 at F-Block auditorium from 10.00 am onwards. Program started with the competitions for all the students Dance (Solo and Group), Just A Minute, Dumb Charades. Prof. Nicola Sharon Ambrose, Dean, Manjushree Institutions, Bangalore was the Chief Guest for the event. She addressed insisting the importance of having passion towards Nursing profession and following the footpaths of the eminent nursing leaders. Dr. Pushpa Sarkar, Dean, SHS, DSU wished the very best for the students and Dr. D. Santham Sweet Rose, Principal encouraged the student nurses to have more compassionate care.
