Seats and Eligibility:
Eligibility for Admission: BSc in Allied Health Sciences
A candidate seeking admission to the BSc. Allied Health Sciences, shall have studied English as one of the principal subjects during the tenure of the course and shall have passed:
- Two-year Pre-University examination or equivalent as recognized by Dayananda Sagar University with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as major subjects of study.
- Pre-Degree course from a recognized University considered as equivalent by Dayananda Sagar University, (Two years after ten years of schooling) with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as subjects of study.
- The vocational higher secondary education course conducted by Vocational Higher Secondary Education, Government of Kerala with five subjects including Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English in addition to vocational subjects conducted is considered equivalent to plus TWO examinations of Government of Karnataka Pre University Course.
Lateral Entry
Candidates with two years diploma from a recognized Government Board and shall have passed class 12 [10+2] with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as major subjects. These students are eligible to take admission to the second year of the program on lateral entry system only in the same subject studied at diploma level. In case of B.Sc. - Emergency and Trauma Care Technology, a candidate who has completed a Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) program or equivalent course and has a valid registration with the respective State Nursing Council shall be eligible for lateral entry to the Second year of the course.
Note: The candidate shall have passed individually in each of the subjects and have scored minimum aggregate 50% of marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology. Candidates who have completed diploma or vocational course through Correspondence shall not be eligible for any of the courses mentioned above.
Duration of the Course:
Duration shall be for a period of four years including one year of Internship.
Medium of Instruction:
The medium of instruction and examination shall be in English.
Eligibility for admission: Master’s in Public Health
A candidate seeking admission to Masters in Public Health should have a degree in MBBS or BDS or BAMS or B.Sc Nursing or BPT or B.Pharm or B.Sc Allied Health Sciences, with minimum 50% marks from a University established under law considered equivalent by Dayananda Sagar University.
Duration of the course:
Duration shall be for a period of two years.
Medium of instruction:
The medium of instruction and examination shall be in English.
