Tej Sundara, BCA 2nd Semester (Section C), secured 2nd Prize in the RAP Competition at “Cascades – Midnight Masquerade,” the cultural fest of Dayananda Sagar University held on 30th–31st January, showcasing his musical talent among participants from various departments.
Vijith Kanchan, a student of BCA 4th Semester (Section A) from the School of Computer Applications, has brought pride to the department by securing First Prize in the event “Lenscape (Mobile Photography)” organized by Jain College of Sciences.
Sanjeev Swamy and Sanjeev Reddy, students of BCA 6th Semester (Section B), secured First Place in the Hackathon event at Innovesta 2K26, organized by Surana College (Autonomous) on 27th–28th February 2026. The duo demonstrated strong innovation, technical skills, and problem-solving ability, winning a cash prize of ₹6,000 and bringing pride to the School of Computer Applications, Dayananda Sagar University.

BCA students achieved recognition at Enthios, a Stranger Things–themed tech fest hosted by Jyoti Nivas College Autonomous.
Noor Nabeeha (4th Sem) secured Second Place in “The Hawkins File” research presentation, while Bhumika G won the AI Prompt Master competition.
Their achievements highlighted strong research, creativity, and technical skills.

A total of 40 IV Semester MCA students from SCA, Dayananda Sagar University, have been selected as Project Interns at Vortex IQ.
The company is developing the world’s first AI Operating System for e-commerce, offering students valuable global exposure and hands-on experience.
Supported by Sambit Patra, the opportunity strengthens industry-academia collaboration and showcases students’ capabilities in emerging technologies.

The School of Computer Applications, Dayananda Sagar University, organized TechFest – Vision AI 2026 on 19th May 2026 under the theme “Create. Innovate. Transform with AI.” Held in celebration of National Technology Day, the event brought together students from BCA, MCA, M.Sc. Data Science, and other programs to showcase their technical and creative talents. Winners were honored with medals and certificates, making the fest a successful celebration of innovation, technology, and student achievement.

Raghavendra Manvi, a student of MCA 2nd Semester, brought pride to the School of Computer Applications by securing the State Level Gold Medal in the domain of Cybersecurity at the Karnataka Skills Competition 2024, held as part of India Skills 2024. Organized by the Department of Skill Development, Entrepreneurship and Livelihood under the Karnataka Skill Development Corporation, the prestigious event culminated in a grand prize distribution ceremony at Banquet Hall I, Vidhana Soudha, Bengaluru, on 14th July 2025. Raghavendra was awarded a cash prize of ₹20,000 in recognition of his outstanding skills and performance, marking a significant achievement both for him and the institution.
