ACADEMICS
The Department of Physics caters the service to the core engineering departments. We are offering Engineering Physics courses to the first year B. Tech students offering an open elective on “Nanoscience and Nanotechnology” for the 5th Semester students. both at theoretical level and experimental level. The course is designed such that it meets the real-life challenges to nurture the engineering students to address the same. It gives rigorous training, basic understanding covering all the engineering streams. We are also offering mini-Project for the first year B. Tech students as part of curriculum to provide research orientation from the beginning of the engineering education.
PhD Courses:
The Department of physics offers FULL TIME/PART TIME PhD Courses in both theoretical and experimental physics. The faculty members are actively working on thrust research areas covering condensed matter physics, optics, sensors, super capacitors, etc. Check the faculty details for more information.
DSU is offering the fellowship to PhD students for the duration of 3 years.
Department of Physics is planning to start Integrated 4-year BS-MS Program in accordance with NEP 2020 and IPh.D., program in Applied Physics.
