An Aero - Project Expo was organized by the Department on May 27th, 2022, at Product Design lab. This exhibition featured final-year, pre-final-year, and second-year student projects. The students exhibited their projects, which included developing models and this event exposed participants to project-based learning, which helps in having industrial exposure. This exhibition had an external reviewer Dr. Ramseshan Satagopan, Department of Aeronautical Engineering, Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering, Bangalore, who was the judge for this event.

The Department organized an Industrial visit to BEML which is situated in Thippasandra, Bangalore. This industrial visit was held on May 26th, 2022. The industrial visit provides the students a practical exposure which is through interaction and gives an idea about employment practices. BEML formerly known as Bharat Earth Movers Limited in Bangalore has an aerospace hanger.

The Department of Aerospace Engineering, DSU organised an industrial visit to Valdel Advanced Technologies Bangalore on May 5th, 2022. Valdel Advanced Technologies is a company that focuses on the production of composite products from start to finish. This industrial visit was initiated by Prof. Srinivasa A, who took responsibility for making this industrial visit successful by giving exposure to composite materials and technology. This industrial visit provided a better exposure to the latest technologies for the development of advanced composite materials.
