Dr. S. Geetha Priya is a biotechnologist with an educational foundation that combines engineering principles and biological sciences, she has dedicated her career to advance biomedical technologies and improve healthcare solutions. She holds a doctoral degree in bioengineering from IIT Kanpur and has earned the title of Doctorate and Engineer, reflecting her expertise in both theoretical research and practical applications. Throughout her career, she has been actively involved in cutting-edge research focusing on tissue engineering, biomaterials and biomedical device development. As a passionate educator, she has mentored graduate students, fostering to become the next generation scientists. She has authored and co-authored multiple research papers published in prestigious international journals and has presented her findings at several conferences. She is also actively involved in collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to bridge the gap between science, engineering and medicine, thereby contributing to the development of life-changing medical devices and treatments.

• Received Certificate of Appreciation and Cash award of Rs.10,000 for publishing a review article titled “Skin Tissue Engineering for Tissue Repair and Regeneration” in “Tissue Engineering, Part B: Reviews” in the year 2008, at IIT Kanpur.
• Received Council of Scientific and Industrial Research – Senior Research Fellow (CSIR-SRF) award through direct interview for a period of two years between 2008 – 2010 during the tenure of the Ph.D programme at IIT Kanpur.
• Received International Travel Award from IIT Kanpur, of Rs. 75,000 to attend “3rd Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine International Society (TERMIS) World Congress” held at Vienna, Austria in the year 2012.
• Published an Indian Patent in 2021 (Awaiting for examination in 2025)
• Published a Book Chapter in 2023 in Cambridge Scholars Publishing, United Kingdom
• Published a Book Chapter in 2024 in Springer Nature, Singapore.
• Received DST-SERB Funding of Rs. 1,20,000 for conducting a National Workshop on 3D Printing for Tissue Engineering Applications at Dayananda Sagar University in the year 2024.
• Member of Institution of Engineers (India), Chartered Engineer (India), Fellow of Institution of Engineers (India), Member of Indian Society for Technical Education and Member of Society for Biomaterials and Artificial Organs.
