Assistant Professor
Jyotishna Singh is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. She has completed her Master of Technology (M.Tech) in Information Technology from the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Allahabad (IIIT Allahabad) and holds a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Computer Science and Engineering from Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology, Gorakhpur.
Before entering academics, she worked as a System Engineer at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) for over 2 years. There, she gained valuable industry experience by developing RESTful microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and MySQL, and working on data processing systems with Spring Batch. She was also involved in code reviews, mentoring, and helping to build reliable and scalable applications.
She is skilled in C, C++, Java and Python, with a strong grasp of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), Data Structures and Algorithms, Database Management Systems (DBMS). She has also contributed as a Teaching Assistant at IIIT Allahabad, guiding students through tutorials, projects, and assignments.
Her M.Tech thesis, titled "Enhanced Classification of Stars, Galaxies, and Quasars Using Deep Learning," focused on developing a hybrid deep learning model using CNN and ANN to improve the classification of astronomical objects. This project reflects her passion for AI, Deep Learning, and using technology to solve real-world scientific problems.
