A Discussion on How Our World Is Likely To Change in the Next 20 Years
It was an immense pleasure to have a discussion by Ambassador Dr Deepak Vohra on “Global Megatrends” – How our world is likely to be in the next twenty years. The event was organized by School Of Commerce And Management Studies, Dayananda Sagar University for all the young & aspiring commerce and business professionals of DSU.
It was held on 02nd Jan 2019 at 10.45 AM at CD Sagar Auditorium, Dayananda Sagar University, Kumaraswamy Layout Bangalore.
The speech by the veteran speaker Dr Deepak Vohra was very informative and helped all our students to see the business world from a different horizon with a hint on upcoming trends in the next twenty years. Our deans, professors and students are thankful for such detailed talk and an opportunity to meet an inspiring person like Dr Vohra.
About the speaker
Ambassador Dr. Deepak vohra is Special Advisor to the Prime Minister, Lesotho and Guinea-Bissau and to Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Councils, Kargil and Leh. Dr Vohra is India's senior-most ambassador at Indian Foreign Service since 1973. He was Officer on Special Duty to the Technology Adviser to the Prime Minister of India. Ambassador Vohra spent four years with Sulabh International, the worlds largest NGO dealing with sanitation.
He has specialized in developmental issues (especially in remote areas) for emerging nations. In October 2005, Armenia awarded him a gold medal and named a school after him. Sudan gave him its highest civilian honour and in 2006, he was made Prince of an African tribe. Many National and international leaders greatly appreciate his transparent sincerity and integrity for his social services. In 2007, Indian oil workers were kidnapped in Sudan and Dr Vohra offered himself in exchange for the hostages. Also, in 2014, he went to a remote Ebola-affected area of Guinea to help the villagers and fell seriously ill with the dreaded ailment.
