Swami Vivekananda's birthday is celebrated as National Youth India on 12 Jan every year across the Nation. This special day is widely celebrated in schools and colleges with a stream of activities including processions, speeches, music, youth conventions, seminars, Yogasanas, presentations, competitions in essay-writing, recitations and sports. All the activities shall impart the lectures, writings and essays of Swami Vivekananda and his Master Sri Ramakrishna Paramahansa.

In our university, School of Commerce and Management Studies also celebrated Swami Vivekananda's birthday to spread his ideas and ideals among the young minds of the university. SCMS, DSU in association with Disha Charitable Trust had conducted a guest lecture to commemorate National Youth Day. The guest lecture emphasized on Swami Vivekananda's life journey, the youth as the strength of the nation, knowing self, nation and Indian culture.

The lecture was held on 31st January 2019 at CD Sagar Auditorium, DSU to all the students of B.Com ACCA, B.Com CMA and BBA students of Dayananda Sagar University.
