FAQ's
Who is authorized to use the DSU Physiotherapy Library?
All students, faculty members and Staff Members of DSU are authorized to use the Library. Staff Members and visiting faculties also have the privilege to use the Library.
Is there any separate Library Card issued for using the Library?
No separate library card is issued for using the Library. The Institute Id Card is sufficient to enter the Library and issue books.
Can I borrow books by sending Id card through someone?
No, the borrower has to personally come and get books issued in his/her name after signing in the book card.
I am going on academic leave or temporarily withdrawing from a semester. Do I need to return the books which I borrowed?
Yes, you are required to return all the books before proceeding on long leave for optimum use of the Library resources by all.
How do I get No Dues from the Library?
You can apply for No Dues through a common issued form from Admin section. The Library will mention the dues, if any, in the offline form. You will have to pay the dues in the Library Circulation Section for getting final clearance from the Library.
What Should I do if the book I borrowed got lost?
If the borrowed book is lost then immediately you should give a letter to the Librarian stating the cause. If the book is available, then you should replace the same otherwise you have to pay triple cost of the book for the same. For repayment/replacement, download the following form and submit in the library. https://www.dsu.edu.in/downloads
What is the fine I have to pay, if I would not return book within the stipulated date?
Users, if they don't return books in time should pay fine to library and no consideration shall be made. The details of the fine are as follows:

Library working hours: Monday to Saturday 09:00 am to 04:00 pm (On all working days)
Can I borrow thesis or dessertations?
Theses and dissertations are issued for consultation only for a period of few hours. A member has to submit his/her membership card to avail this facility.
Who can I contact for help for placing material on reserve?
You can ask circulation staff for thorough guidance of the reservation Process
What is Google scholar?
Google Scholar is a search engine that searches the web for scholarly literature. Clicking the “Google Scholar” link under the One Search box will authenticate you as a UT student and allow you to view articles for free that might otherwise require payment. Also remember the library subscribes to a number of other databases sorted by subject and type.
What types of documents are kept in reference section?
The section contains reference sources such as encyclopedias, dictionaries, handbooks, atlases, standards etc. The section also contains copies of text books meant for reference only purpose.
How do I borrow reference books?
Books from reference section are not for issue.
How do I search Library collection/ resources?
The Library has an online automated catalogue which can be searched through OPAC. http://182.74.60.194
Can I renew issued book(s)?
Yes renewal can be done for period of 15 days; book must be brought physically to the Library.
How do I access the Eresources subscribed by the Library? Do I need any separate login/password?
Most of the Eresources are accessible through the internet network within the campus via IP authentication.
Can I bring my Internet enabled device or laptop inside the library?
Yes, You can bring-in your personal computer.
