Kalakrithi- Virtual event by ECE 6th Semester students on 15th April 2021
Online classes have become the new norm for students. Pre pandemic, students would start their day journey from Canteen with a sip of tea and then rush to the first hour class at 8.45 a.m. During the weekend, we could see crowd of students cheering their friends up for a sports event or cultural vaganza. Amidst the pandemic, we wanted to cherish those memories again, rejuvenate our rigid body and mind back. This thought paved the way for an online event Kalakrithi. The co-curricular activity was held to bring out the artist in every student. Many students had performed, exhibited their art work, skills with Rubik’s cube etc. These performances were broadcasted online through Zoom and also streamed on Youtube. The main goal behind Kalakrithi was to bring out organizational skills and self confidence among our young buds. Saransh Oberoi had hosted the whole event wonderfully under the guidance of Prof.Nandini Rao Asst.Prof. EC dept.

“Farewell day” on 13th March 2021
A beautiful quote on Farewell by William Shakespeare, “Farewell! God knows when we shall meet again”. Every new beginning comes from some other beginning’s end. The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering organised Farewell function for the second batch ECE students(2016-2020). The Undergraduate Study period is the Golden period in one's life. This is a stage where the mind is open to new ideas and the innovative mind is cultured to dream and work towards higher goals of life. The friends during the UG studies of 4 years will remain for decades. With today's connectivity, the bondage will only get strengthened as years go by. To celebrate the success and to thank all for their contributions to the campus as the "SECOND BATCH", Department has organized a simple "Farewell" function on 13th March 2021 (Saturday). Students were excited to be the part of the Farewell function and there were so many appreciation from students. Abhishek S quoted “The knowledge that you imparted to us is one of the most valuable things in our lives. This knowledge that you gave us will be our weapon for the life ahead. Respected teachers, you occupy a very high status in the life of every student.” Fiona Aljo expressed her feelings like “It’s not just memories but also the lessons will have a great impact on our transformation to be an adult and our college without a doubt has made me an independent person and tough enough to face the difficulties that will come over time.” Tejaswani words are “It seems like yesterday when we joined this college like reluctant caterpillars when our parents dropped us off at the college hostel. And then time just started to fly so quickly. The four years of our lives just flew away fast. When we look back at this wonderful journey, we remember the morning bell, lunch hours where the day scholars used to get extra tiffins for the hostellers, those long queues in the cafeteria, the evening walks, night time snacks, night-long chats and many more.” “It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge.” – Albert Einstein. The faculties of Department of ECE supports and guided students in all the way and expressed few words for students. Dr Vaibhav A Meshram, Chairman quoted “The best thing about department is that they teach you to think outside the box. No problem in life is big enough as long as you have that ability. Farewell!” Dr.Theodore C, Assosiate professor quoted “Farewell to the most amazing class ever. This institute will always miss you so dearly. May you be victorious in all spheres of your life!” Mrs.Kanmani B S, Assistant Professor wished students like “You have gained all the knowledge, skills and wisdom you need in life. From now on, it’s all about continuous self-improvement. Happy Farewell!”
