Beautiful Questions – The Compass for Shaping AI Security (28th June 2025)
The School of Computer Applications at Dayananda Sagar University organized an enriching Technical Seminar on June 28, 2025, titled “Beautiful Questions – The Compass for Shaping AI Security.” The session was held at Gallery Hall – I, A Block, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 127 MCA students.
The event commenced with an inaugural address by Dr. S. Senthil, Professor and Dean of SCA, who emphasized the importance of asking “beautiful questions” in the context of learning, innovation, and AI development.
The seminar was led by the distinguished resource person, Mr. Pons Mudivai Arun, Product Leader – Access Security at JumpCloud. With a unique and engaging approach, he encouraged students to think critically by organizing them into small interactive groups. Each group was given a well-prepared questionnaire, which they enthusiastically discussed and answered in a collaborative and friendly environment.
Mr. Arun’s dynamic presentation style and thought-provoking questions sparked meaningful discussions among the participants. To further inspire curiosity and active engagement, he awarded three insightful books to students who asked the most “beautiful question” during the session.
The seminar not only deepened the participants’ understanding of AI security but also reinforced the value of curiosity, questioning, and collaborative learning in technology-driven domains.
Understanding SAP in Technical & Functional Areas with Career Path (4th June 2025)
The School of Computer Applications at Dayananda Sagar University organized an insightful Alumni Lecture Series on 4th June 2025, featuring an expert session on the topic "Understanding SAP in Technical & Functional Areas with Career Path." The event aimed to bridge the academic and industry gap by introducing students to real-world enterprise software systems and career opportunities in the SAP domain.
The resource person for the session was Mr. Nilesh Krishna, an accomplished SAP EDI Analyst currently working in Montreal, QC, Canada at Peerless Clothing. An alumnus of the university, Mr. Nilesh brought with him not only technical expertise but also a relatable success story that inspired the student audience.
The session began with a warm welcome and introduction by Dr. S. Senthil, Professor and Dean, emphasized the importance of alumni engagement in shaping student aspirations. Mr. Nilesh then took the stage and provided a detailed overview of SAP (Systems, Applications, and Products in Data Processing) - one of the world’s leading enterprise resource planning (ERP) tools.
He explained the technical components such as, integration, and EDI (Electronic Data Interchange), as well as the functional modules like SD (Sales and Distribution), MM (Materials Management), and FICO (Finance and Controlling). Mr. Nilesh also shared his career journey from campus to corporate, the challenges faced, and how DSU played a pivotal role in his growth.
The interactive session concluded with a Q&A round, where students eagerly asked questions related to SAP certifications, job prospects, and the future of ERP systems. Mr. Nilesh encouraged students to explore SAP careers and keep upgrading their technical skills.
The lecture served as a valuable platform for students to understand the real-world applications of SAP and get motivated by the professional achievements of a DSU alumnus. The event was a grand success and received positive feedback from the attendees.
