TECHNICAL TALK on “Classroom to Corporate - Careers in Cybersecurity” (31st October 2025)
The School of Computer Applications, Dayananda Sagar University, organized a Technical Session titled “From Classroom to Corporate: Careers in Cybersecurity” on 31st October 2025 as part of its continuous effort to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry expectations.
The event was aimed at guiding students toward building a strong foundation and career path in the domain of Cybersecurity.
This initiative supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4 – Quality Education, by ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education and promoting lifelong learning opportunities for all.
SESSION by “National Cyber Security Awareness Month (NCSAM) – October 2025 Chetna Series Lecture on “Cyber Crime and Cyber Safety” (24th October 2025)
As part of the observance of National Cyber Security Awareness Month (NCSAM) – October 2025, the University Grants Commission (UGC) organized a Chetna Series Lecture on “Cyber Crime and Cyber Safety”. The event was attended by the final-year BCA students of the School of Computer Applications.
The session aimed to promote awareness of cyber hygiene, online safety, and responsible digital behavior among students and educators.
This initiative aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 16 – Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, which emphasizes building strong, secure, and inclusive institutions and promoting safe digital environments for all.
CPR Awareness Program (17th October 2025)
The School of Computer Applications, in collaboration with Jeeva Raksha, organized a CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) Awareness Program on 17th October 2025 to educate students and faculty about life-saving emergency response techniques. The session aimed to empower participants with the knowledge and skills required to act promptly and effectively during cardiac emergencies.
The resource team from Jeeva Raksha conducted an informative and engaging session covering the importance of immediate response during cardiac arrest, followed by a demonstration of CPR techniques. Trainers explained the correct hand placement, compression depth, and breathing methods, along with the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Participants also had the opportunity to observe and practice the CPR procedure on training manikins under expert supervision.
The program created significant awareness among the attendees about the importance of timely intervention in saving lives. It fostered a sense of responsibility and preparedness among the participants to respond effectively in emergency situations. The session concluded with an Pledge, interactive Q&A, where doubts were clarified, and participants expressed appreciation for the practical knowledge gained.
Overall, the CPR Awareness Program was highly informative and impactful. The initiative successfully achieved its objective of promoting health awareness and life-saving skills among students and staff, reinforcing the importance of community participation in emergency care.
TRAINING WORKSHOP ON CERTIFIED SECURED COMPUER USER CERTIFICATION (15th to 17th October 2025)
The School of Computer Applications in association with Cynux Era and Ec-Council organized a 3-day Training Workshop on CSCU certification from October 15th to 17th, 2025. The program was facilitated by experienced mentor conducted by Mr. Mohammed Tousif, Founder and CEO of Cynux Era. The workshop primarily focused on fully practical and hands-on, with a strong focus on real-world applications and clear theoretical foundations.
NSS Camp Report (13th to 19th October 2025)
The students of the School of Computer Applications, including 1st and 3rd semester students, actively participated in the NSS Camp organized by the Karnataka Department of Sports and Youth Affairs. The camp was held at the NSS Training Centre, Kumbalgodu, Mysore Road, Bangalore, as part of the annual National Service Scheme (NSS) activities aimed at fostering leadership, discipline, and social responsibility among students.
The week-long camp included a wide range of training sessions and hands-on activities focused on disaster management, fire safety, first aid, CPR training, and community awareness. Expert trainers from reputed organizations conducted interactive demonstrations and practical exercises on emergency response, river rescue, rope evacuation, and first aid methods. Students also participated in group discussions, cultural programs, and community service initiatives that promoted teamwork and civic engagement.
Throughout the camp, volunteers displayed enthusiasm, discipline, and dedication in every session. The training not only enhanced their life-saving skills and disaster preparedness but also instilled a deep sense of social commitment and teamwork.
The event concluded with a cultural evening that showcased the talents of participants through music, dance, and skits, creating a joyful and memorable end to a week of learning and service. The NSS Camp at Kumbalgodu was a remarkable experience that empowered students to become responsible citizens, ready to contribute meaningfully to society.
