Workshop on “Digital Solutions for Environmental Sustainability”


A workshop on “Digital Solutions for Environmental Sustainability” was recently conducted to explore innovative technological interventions aimed at addressing pressing environmental challenges. The event brought together experts from diverse domains, including environmental science, technology, and policy-making, to share insights on leveraging digital tools for sustainable practices. Topics such as IoT-based environmental monitoring, AI-driven waste management systems, and digital platforms for resource optimization were discussed in detail. The sessions highlighted the potential of digital innovations in improving efficiency, reducing waste, and promoting green practices in industries, urban planning, and natural resource management. The workshop featured engaging panel discussions, hands-on demonstrations, and interactive brainstorming sessions to encourage collaborative solutions among participants. Case studies of successful implementations of digital sustainability solutions were presented, inspiring participants to adopt similar strategies in their fields. CYBERSEEDS PROGRAM SESSION - 3


School of Computer Applications recently organized the third session of CYBERSEEDS, an industry immersion programme was organized for the 3rd semester MCA students. The resource persons for the day were Mr. Kamal Sharma, Co-Founder, Authentic One Cyber security (P) Ltd., Mr. Akash Purohitha, and Ms. Yogini.

Access control is a fundamental pillar of cyber security, ensuring that sensitive data, resources, and systems are accessible only to authorized individuals. In today’s lecture, we explored a wide range of concepts and mechanisms that form the backbone of access control, highlighting their importance in securing organizational and personal environments.


The Art and Science of Technical Paper Writing


The School of Computer Applications, in association with the International Relations Department of DSU, hosted a technical session titled “The Art and Science of Technical Paper Writing”. The session was led by Dr. Nilanjan Dey, Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Techno International Newton, Kolkata. The primary aim of the session was to equip MCA III semester students with essential skills for writing effective technical papers and project reports.


Beyond LLMs – Crafting the Future with Causal Models, A Practitioner’s Perspective


The School of Computer Applications, DSU, hosted an expert talk titled “Beyond LLMs – Crafting the Future with Causal Models, A Practitioner’s Perspective”. The session was led by Dr. J. B. Simha, CTO, ABIBA Systems, Bengaluru. The primary aim of the session was to equip MCA III semester students with future of LLMs with causal models.


How to Improve Research Skills


The School of Computer Applications in association with International relations conducted two-day session on How to Improve Research Skills by Prof.N. Sundararajan(Retd), School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Nanyang Technologies University, Singapore an expert in the field of academic research. The session was designed to help Ph. D. students understand the nuances of starting research, writing academic papers, and navigating the complex world of thesis writing and paper submission. The session aimed to equip participants with essential skills and insights to enhance their research capabilities and understand the ethical aspects of writing and publishing papers.
