Faculty Development Program on ANSA
The Department of Mechanical Engineering in collaboration with BETA Systems has conducted a Faculty Development Program on ANSA – an advanced FE analysis tool.
DSU hosts a 40 days On-the-job Training
Strides Pharma Science, an established pharmaceutical company with a success story spanning over 15 years, collaborated with the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Dayananda Sagar University to successfully conduct a one-month On-the-job orientation training program for its recruits.
One Week Faculty Development Program (FDP) On “Hands-on Training on using 3D Printers”
Digital Prototyping Laboratory has been established in our Dayananda Sagar University, Innovation Campus with 3D printing facilities. With the help of these facilities, the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Department of Design jointly organized a One-week Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Hands-on Training on using 3D Printers” to provide training in 3D printing with Fusion Deposition Modeling (FDM) technology from 27-07-2022 to 03-08-2022.

The students of Department of Mechanical Engineering visited M/s Micro Plastics, Jigani, Bangalore on 30 March 2022 as a part of industrial trip. They witnessed various manufacturing processes in the industry during the visit.

The students of Department of Mechanical Engineering visited M/s Buhler India, Attibele, Bangalore on 05 April 2022 as a part of industrial trip.
Project Exhibition - 2022
The Department of Mechanical Engineering presented the Eighth Semester students with an opportunity to present their final year projects in a hands-on workshop on June 3rd. Over the course of the day, the students had the opportunity to showcase and demonstrate their projects to a live audience.
CMTI Project Exhibition
The students of Department of Mechanical Engineering have bagged First runner up and Second runner up positions in the National level Design and Innovation Clinic organized by Central Manufacturing and Technology Institute, Govt of India (CMTI). Design & Innovation Clinic is aimed at inspiring young minds to nurture scientific and engineering temperament to build a better India.

Invited Lecture On “Design Thinking and its Relevance to the current industry”
The Department of Mechanical Engineering organized an Invited Lecture on “Design Thinking and its Relevance to the current industry” on 23-07-2022 for the students of first year as a part of their Design Thinking course curriculum. Mr. Sathish Kannan P. from Alten India addressed the students and shared his experiences in Design thinking and its applications in the automobile and aerospace industry.
Invited Lecture On “Saving Publication from Fake and Cloned journals”
The Department of Mechanical Engineering organized an Invited Lecture Series On “Saving Publication from Fake and Cloned journals” on 25-07-2022 for the faculty and students. Dr. Sumith Narula from Amity University was the distinguishes speaker invited to deliver this talk.
Guest Lecture Series On “Non-destructive testing methods in critical structures”
The Department of Mechanical Engineering organized a Lecture Series on Non-destructive testing methods in critical structures in association with Matma-Sci, Technical Club, DSU during the months of October and December. Dr. Vijayendra Munikoti based from Germany and an expert in the field of NDT addressed the faculty and students, sharing his insights on Introduction to Non - Destructive testing methods and analysis techniques.

The Department of Mechanical Engineering in association with BITES organized a Distinguished Lecture on Changing Scenario of Indian Industries – Automobile Industry on 19 March 2022.
Workshop
Workshop on “Smart Structures and Aeroelasticity”
The Dept. of Mechanical Engineering, Dayananda Sagar University organised an International workshop on “Smart Structures and Aeroelasticity” organized, sponsored by Aeronautics Research and development board (ARDB), Bengaluru from 09-01-2023 to 13-01-2023. The workshop witnessed over a 100 enthusiastic participants from various institutions and industries and 15 unparalleled technical sessions spread across 5 days.
