Based on the vision and mission of the College of Physiotherapy- DSU, the Program Educational Objectives (PEOs) that outline the expected achievements of the Physiotherapy program graduates are stated:
PEO 1: Clinical Excellence and Proficiency
- Graduates will demonstrate exceptional clinical skills and knowledge, applying evidence-based practices and innovative techniques to assess, diagnose, and develop effective physiotherapy treatment plans for patients across diverse populations and conditions.
PEO 2: Leadership, Communication and member of interdisciplinary care team
- Graduates will have leadership qualities and effective communication skills, enabling them to work collaboratively within interdisciplinary healthcare teams, advocate for patient-centered care, effectively communicate with patients, their families, and healthcare professionals. Graduates will contribute to community health and wellness through community outreach programs, health education initiatives, and preventive care strategies, making a positive impact on the health and quality of life of the communities they serve.
PEO 3: Research and Innovation
- Graduates will engage in research and innovation activities, contributing to the advancement of physiotherapy knowledge, evidence-based practice, and the development of novel approaches to enhance patient care and outcomes.
PEO 4: Professional, Ethical and Compassionate Care
- Graduates will practice moral and ethical conduct, upholding patient confidentiality, respecting cultural diversity, and advocating for patient autonomy while providing compassionate care that considers the holistic well-being of patients, including their physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs.
