It transcends conventional profit-driven models to adopt a comprehensive approach known as the triple bottom line, which evaluates environmental and social impacts in conjunction with economic performance. Effective leadership is essential for navigating the intricacies of business. The transformation of business and society presents considerable challenges, yet it also provides vast opportunities for innovation and growth. The Conference seeks to unite individuals from academic, research, policy, practice, and business sectors to exchange practical solutions for achieving a sustainable future. This conference is part of a larger initiative and vision by the UN to confront global challenges and promote a sustainable future through the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030. The conference will concentrate on six themes. The conference is expected to lead to voluntary commitments and the establishment of new partnerships.

DSU organises Problem Solving Competition using TRIZ model
The Problem Solving Competition using TRIZ model is being held on 27th Nov Monday. This initiative is under the Problem Solving Pillar and will enhance the problem solving skills of students. Problems have been identified by the groups and they will use the TRIZ model, which is a systematic methodology for solving complex problems and generating innovative solutions. The teams, who are mentored by SCMS professors, will present to the jury and top two teams will be recognized and given certificates by Dean.

Nagaraj Subbarao (PhD), Dean -SCMS, has planned to organise an International Guest talk by Professor Steve McKenna, Curtin University, Australia. This event will be conducted from September 11–20, 2023. The international speaker will be delivering talk on topic "Thinking Innovatively and Leading Innovation" for MBA Students. Also, he will be conducting a session for SCMS faculties on topic "Innovate or Die". Prof. Steve McKenna is currently an Associate Professor of Management at Curtin University, Australia. He has Corporate management experience in the Telecommunications and Automotive industries, Global Consulting experience in all sectors, and has contributed for consulting and growth of start-ups in Singapore.
